About Me

I am Anika Rajesh Shetty, a passionate fashion entrepreneur and design strategist based in Bangalore, India. Born in Kerala and raised between the vibrant cities of Mangalore and Bangalore, I have had the privilege of growing up in culturally rich environments that shaped my creative identity. After spending my early years in Mangalore, I eventually settled in Bangalore, where I have been rooted for many years, building my career and vision from this dynamic city.

My journey into the world of fashion and design began at St. Aloysius College in Mangalore, where I completed my school education. I then pursued my higher secondary education at Christ College, Bangalore (2008–2010), followed by a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bangalore (2010–2014). This academic foundation gave me a deep appreciation for traditional Indian design, coupled with a strong technical and conceptual base in fashion.

To expand my global design perspective, I moved to the United States to pursue a Master of Design (MDes) at the University of Washington (2015–2017), specializing in fashion innovation, sustainable design, and user-centered branding. My time at UW was enriched by hands-on experience through the UW Design Club, Fashion Collective UW, and AIGA UW Chapter, where I contributed to inclusive, future-forward projects. I also earned a Certificate in Foreign Exchange (CFX) from the Bankers Association for Finance and Trade (BAFT) in Washington, USA, further enhancing my global outlook.

My passion lies at the intersection of design, strategy, and cultural storytelling. I believe fashion is more than just aesthetics—it’s a medium for identity, purpose, and social transformation. This belief led me to establish Anika’s Creation, a fashion and modeling agency that merges contemporary creativity with heritage-driven values. Through bespoke design, talent representation, and fashion event curation, my agency celebrates individuality and powerful narratives.

In addition to my work in design, I am deeply involved in creative direction, visual branding, and the curation of immersive fashion experiences. I regularly collaborate with artists, photographers, and stylists to bring bold ideas to life—crafting visuals and collections that speak to modern sensibilities while honoring cultural roots.
